Ryan Dimal: You can have a great story but if the sound doesn’t match well then you can easily lose your audience

The winner of our contest, who won a video microphone from PowerDeWise, told us what is most important for him when recording videos, what he is going to use his prize for and how words can change people’s lives.

Ryan Dimal: You can have a great story but if the sound doesn’t match well then you can easily lose your audience

PowerDeWise: Have you won any prizes before? Did our message about the prize take you by surprise?

Ryan Dimal: Yes I’ve won a few things here and there. Nothing like this though. The message about the prize was a very welcome surprise. I’m excited to get my camera gear together to try and use this soon.

PowerDeWise: How did you find out about our brand and the competition itself?

Ryan Dimal: I saw this through a post on Facebook and was super interested in the product.

PowerDeWise: Have you already tried your microphone?

Ryan Dimal: I haven’t tried it yet. I’ve been busy with work but hope to use it soon on a trip to Denver.

PowerDeWise: What planning to use the microphone for? Vlogging, podcasts, public speaking, something else?

Ryan Dimal: I hope to do some vlogging with the camera, capturing some interviews.

PowerDeWise: What do you think is the most important thing for a quality video shoot?

Ryan Dimal: Most important for video shoots to me is the sound you get. You can have a great story but if the sound doesn’t match well or isn’t fitting your story then you can easily lose your audience.

PowerDeWise: We recently launched a “Words Can Change Lives” program where people share their stories about how words said by someone changed their lives for the better. Do you have a story to share with us? Please, let us know!

Ryan Dimal: Words can change lives – I’ve had many words of wisdom that I’ve heard from many people over the years. The one that sticks out the most is a friend telling me “all women are beautiful”. It was then I realized how much women and young girls go through moments in their lives where they compare themselves to photoshopped people in magazines and in ads. It’s unfair and makes them go through unreasonable ways to try and be the “perfect size”. We as a society is hurting the ones who we really should be appreciating. The backlash they get from dumb guys and from other women is too much for anyone to go through these days. Not enough about positive body image for women is out there.
