Is this microphone omnidirectional or unidirectional?
PowerDeWise only makes omnidirectional microphones for many reasons. First of all, omnidirectional microphones are sensitive to sounds from any direction. Whether the source of sound is from above, below, before or behind the microphone, it will capture sound almost equally from every direction, which is very important, since the microphone is worn on clothes (usually on the collar).
PowerDeWise lapel microphones are also weakly sensitive to wind noise. They are great at reducing noise while two different sound sources are recording. These microphones are valued for their low “color” of sound and surprisingly “flat” frequency spectrum of sound, especially at low frequencies.
