When it comes to terms video editing have more than 30 terms to remember, but don’t let that scare you, you just need to work on them one by one, and at the end of the journey you will find you self with all those terms in mind, today we will show you the top 11 terms beginners MUST know.
  • Aspect Ratio

Aspect ratio means how your video’s width and height relate to each other; The dimensions are expressed through a ratio. Most common ones are: 4:3, 16:9, 1.85:1 Look at the image below for more example of this video editing term.

Resolution refers to the actually number of horizontal and vertical pixels that your video contains. Examples for resolutions (SD)640X480, (HD)1280X720, (HDR)1920X1080. Most of the time resolution is referred to only by the number of pixels that appears vertically So, examples would be listed as 480p, 720p, 1080p.
